The Freedom to Read Foundation (FTRF) election for Board of Trustees is taking place now through May 18, 2021.Twelve (12) individuals are running for six (6) open positions. The FTRF Board is comprised of fifteen (15) Trustees, with eleven (11) Trustees elected and four (4) serving in an ex officio capacity. An elected Trustee serves a term of two years and cannot serve more than two consecutive terms. After a year off the Board, a former Trustee may be nominated for election to the Board. Trustees meet at least twice a year in conjunction with the American Library Association Annual and Midwinter meetings. Trustees may also have Board Meetings at other times of the year as needed to conduct the business affairs of the association.
