For over 50 years we have used litigation, education, and advocacy to help library workers fighting to protect their patrons' First Amendment rights. The Freedom to Read Foundation represents the library community in court, participating in significant First Amendment cases defending and protecting our civil rights and civil liberties. Most recently, the FTRF Board of Trustees has committed to supporting library workers and staff as they collect materials and protect access to information that reflects diverse voices, especially as attacks on books about racism and the experiences of Black, Indigenous, and person of color ramp up at alarming rates in schools and public libraries across the country. The importance of the work the Freedom to Read Foundation does is immeasurable. It is your support as a member of the Freedom to Read foundation that makes our support for diversity and free expression possible.
