Trustee Elections

Elections

Each Spring, the current members of the Freedom to Read Foundation are sent ballots to vote on candidates to elect to the Board of Trustees.  Trustees serve two-year terms and are limited to two consecutive terms before stepping off the board for at least one year.  Trustees are required to attend two one-day meetings per year, which are held in conjunction with the ALA Annual Conferences and Midwinter Meetings and teleconferences.

Nominations for trustee positions, including self-nominations, should be sent by January of the current year to Freedom to Read Foundation, Attn: Nomination Committee, 225 N. Michigan Ave., Suite 1300, Chicago, IL 60601. In addition, nominations may be emailed to ftrf@ala.org.

Only current FTRF members are eligible to seek election to the board.  To become a member, click here. To check your membership status, log in or contact FTRF at ftrf@ala.org or (312) 280-4226.
