About J. Dennis Day

Dennis, along with Judith Krug, was a recipient of the 1995 Roll of Honor Award.

Dennis was the director of the Salt Lake City Public Library for 19 years. He served as president of the Freedom to Read Foundation from 1986-1987 and was also former chair of ALA's Intellectual Freedom Committee. He was founder and executive director of the Snowbird Leadership Institute, a training program for young librarians.
