2012: 16th Annual McCusker Memorial Lecture


On October 24, FTRF co-sponsored this event with Dominican University's Graduate School of Library and Information Science.  The featured speaker was Chicago author Sara Paretsky; her talk was entitled "Another Turn of the Screw”.

2012: "Perks of Being a Wallflower" Advance Screening

ALA 2012 Annual Conference in Anaheim, CA.
June 25, 2012

Stephen Chbosky joined a full house at an exclusive advance screening of the much anticipated movie, "The Perks of Being a Wallflower," based on his critically acclaimed banned/challenged novel. The fim features Logan Lerman, Emma Watson (Harry Potter), Ezra Miller, and Paul Rudd and was released October 5, 2012. Following the screening was a Q&A with Stephen Chbosky, who also signed copies of the book.
