It is a simple fact: if someone can tell you what to read
they can tell you what to think. Libraries across this country are on the front
lines defending your right to read, view, and think for yourself. For over 40 years the Freedom to Read
Foundation has defended the First Amendment in libraries to ensure that you
have access to the information you need and the reading materials you want –
without prejudice or favor. We are
inviting you today to join in supporting the First Amendment and access to
information as a member of the Freedom to Read Foundation.
For over 40 years, FTRF has helped
ensure that library resources remain open and available to everyone. Your
membership will help ensure that the Freedom to Read Foundation has the
resources it needs to secure our First Amendment right to read, view, and
listen in libraries.
Joining FTRF is easy. You can join right away at the level of membership support that
is right for you. Or, you can call 312-280-4226 to start your membership. Please download the membership brochure to join by mail with a check or money order.Thank you for making the decision to be
a First Amendment advocate for libraries.
