  Kathleen was added to the Roll of Honor in 1992.

"A brilliant and dedicated librarian," per her citation in the OIF/FTRF 30th Anniversary program, Molz served as both FTRF president and chair of ALA's Intellectual Freedom Committee. In her career, Molz was at various times editors of the Wilson Library Bulletin, professor at Columbia University, and author of such seminal books as "Civic Space/Cyberspace," "Library Planning and Policy Making," and "National Planning for Library Service."
