Elliot and Eleanor were added to the Roll of Honor in 1992.
For decades, the Goldsteins, through their company SIRS Mandarin, Inc., sponsored intellectual freedom awards in dozens of states. They also sponsored the annual SIRS/FAME Intellectual Freedom Student Scholarship that allows two graduating seniors from Florida, who submit essays on "The Importance of Intellectual Freedom," to receive scholarships.
The Goldsteins have provided significant monetary and in-kind support for FTRF, including sponsoring receptions and donating printing services for the newsletter for many years.
