The Freedom to Read Foundation is pleased to present a free webinar/Q&A session featuring FTRF General Counsel Theresa Chmara. The webinar will cover recent developments in First Amendment litigation involving libraries, including cases on book restrictions, computer filtering, and libraries as public forums.

This webinar is available to all current (2013) members of the Freedom to Read Foundation. Space is limited. (Note: Organizational members may designate up to three attendees; please include the names and email addresses of attendees in "RSVP Comments" field.)

When: Wednesday, April 3, 2013; Noon-1:00 p.m. EDT/9:00-10:00 a.m. PDT

About the presenter: Theresa Chmara is an attorney in Washington, DC. She is the General Counsel of the Freedom to Read Foundation, General Counsel for the American Association of University Professors, and a board member of the American Booksellers Foundation for Free Expression. She is the author of Privacy and Confidentiality Issues: A Guide for Libraries and their Lawyers (ALA 2009). She has been a First Amendment lawyer for over twenty years and is a frequent speaker on intellectual freedom issues in libraries.  She is a contributing author for the Intellectual Freedom Manual published by the Office for Intellectual Freedom of the American Library Association and a frequent instructor for the Lawyers for Libraries training seminars.
